Job Description:

Position will provide care to patients by assessing and helping them through their weight loss program. This position is responsible for delivering a full range of direct clinical services to Weight Loss patients, such as psychological testing (if indicated) and individual case consultation with multi-disciplinary team of providers. Functions as a bariatric psychological provider and has a direct impact on the care of our patients as they work towards their goals of weight loss and improved health. Collaborates as a member of inter-disciplinary team (physicians, psychologist, social workers, registered dieticians) for the development and delivery of treatment plans for patients.

Qualifications:

Doctoral Degree (Ph. D, Psych D, or Ed. D) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited university or professional school. License required. 1+ years of experience preferred. Active membership in professional organizations related to the provision of bariatric behavioral health services is strongly encouraged.

Requires expertise in the assessment and treatment of obese patients and the evaluation of behavioral and psychological variables associated with obesity and weight loss procedures.
