Eliot is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Medical Assistant with experience working with adults in the mental health realm. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in data management and multitasking. They will also show unwavering compassion to clients and the ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

  • Interview clients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height and Review of Systems as indicated

  • Ensure clients are shown to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician

  • Complete brief medical and health assessments with clients

  • Reconcile medications and vaccines with other medical personnel

  • Develop and implement systems to schedule appointments for clients

  • As directed or indicated, provide education and wellness activities both individually and in groups

  • Work Client Registries via Electronic Health Record, Microsoft Access, Excel or other database

  • Monitor the database to identify and reach out to those needing services

  • Automate and perform processes by phone or send letters to clients either overdue for medical care or out of compliance with the goals of their care.

  • Act as liaison to medical providers for health issues, documentation and other related information.

  • Triage prescriber messages

  • Provide education about medications to clients

  • Collaborate with a range of multidisciplinary team members to meet the needs of clients

  • Schedule, review and enter lab results

Requirements::

  • Certified as a Medical Assistant or enrolled in the medical assistant certificate program

  • Experience working with adults in the mental health realm

  • Compassionate approach towards clients

  • Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Capability to automate and perform processes by phone or send letters to clients overdue for medical care or out of compliance with care goals

  • Acting as a liaison to medical providers for health issues, documentation, and related information

  • Proficient in triaging prescriber messages

  • Experience collaborating with a range of multidisciplinary team members to meet client needs

  • Competence in scheduling, reviewing and entering lab results

Schedule: 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday

Hourly Rate:

  • Psychiatric Medical Asst Non Certified $19.87

  • Psychiatric Medical Asst Certified $20.52

  • Psychiatric Medical Asst LPN $28.69
