Emerson Hospital Pharmacist in Concord, Massachusetts

Job Summary Reporting to the Director, Pharmacy Services, responsible for supervising the filling and dispensing of medication orders including the proper handling, usage and storage of drugs. Provides clinical services and drug information to physicians and nurses ensuring appropriate drug use. Participates in the training of pharmacy technicians, interns and students. Works relatively independently, under general supervision and within the limits of the regulations of the Commonwealth and established pharmacy policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications Education Graduate from an accredited College of Pharmacy required. PharmD degree and/or ASHP accredited residency preferred.

Experience Minimum of 1 to 2 years hospital pharmacy experience required.

Licensure and/or Certification Current Massachusetts Pharmacist License required.

Skills Ability to work independently. Computer skills including PowerPoint, Excel and word processing. Meditech experience preferred. o Strong mathmatical ability. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Demonstrates strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Effective working relationships including, ability to deal with sensitive issues. Ability to maintain confidential information.
