Emerson Hospital Enterostomy Nurse in Concord, Massachusetts
The ET Nurse will report to the Homecare Nursing Supervisor. Primary responsibilities include the assessment, care plan development, treatment, and coordination of care of the home care patients with ostomy, skin and/or wound care needs. The ET Nurse will work closely with nursing staff, other hospital departments, physicians and other educators, throughout Emerson Health System as well as agencies and resources used in the continuum of patient care. The ET Nurse will also work as a resource and provide education to other homecare staff.
BS in Nursing required.
Minimum of three (3) years Medical/Surgical Nursing background, expertise in working with ostomy, skin and wound care patient needs
Homecare experience preferred
Licensure and/or Certification
Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License, current Board Certification in Enterostomal Therapy, current BLS certification, professional membership in field
Displays good communication, written, telephone and organizational skills
Produces results in assignments
Displays a positive attitude
Able to problem solve within the scope of the role
Working knowledge of hospital and health system policies and procedures
Can work with a variety of individuals outside vendors, consultants, and others to provide quality care for the patient
