Trinity Health Radiology Technician II in Chicopee, Massachusetts

Description:

Position Purpose:

The Radiology Tech II will operate radiographic equipment as required, to obtain diagnostic exams according to radiologist specifications.

What You Will Do :

  • Responsible for the care and treatment of all age ranges of patients, to include pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric

  • Perform a variety of tasks such as retrieving previous films, filing, answering phones, relaying messages, completing encounter forms and scheduling.

  • Strong Educator:

  • Perform quality checks on equipment in accordance with department procedure, evaluate equipment problems and take appropriate action to expedite necessary service or repair.

  • Assist the radiologist in a wide range of sterile procedures

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Education : Associates degree in Science or equivalent post-secondary education required.  Must be a graduate of an accredited diagnostic radiography program

  • Licensure : A.R.R.T. registered and current State license in radiography and mammography required. 

  • Experience : Minimum of two (2) years of clinical internship and two (2) years of post-educational experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work well with others in a very busy, close environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.  Must cooperate well with others by demonstrating flexibility and working in a collaborative manner to meet departmental needs. Considerable tact required in most duties to achieve results.

  • Certification : CPR certification
