Nurse Manager Job Category: Professional Requisition Number: NURSE005471 Full-Time Chicopee, MA, USA Description Seeking fulltime Nurse Managers to work day shifts in a team environment providing care to adults or adolescents/children in CHD\'s NEW Adult Mobile Crisis Intervention, Adult Crisis Stabilization, Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention, Youth Crisis Stabilization, and Outpatient Clinic programs offer 24/7 response to adults and children experiencing behavioral health or substance use related crisis at one location in Chicopee Massachusetts. These programs treat individuals and families throughout the care continuum. Services include but are not limited to individual counseling, psychiatry, recovery coaching, case management, treatment for substance use disorders, and peer supports. Essential duties for these roles may include: Provide support and direct oversight of nurses and ancillary staff Execute philosophy of care throughout the milieu Collaborate with physicians, advance practice nurses, psychologists, social workers, or other professionals Fill physician orders; administer medication; take vital signs; coordinate medical care Contribute to comprehensive assessment Assessment of signs of substance withdrawal and completion of standardized assessment tools such as the Clinical Opioid Withdrawal Scale (COWS, CIWA, CIWAb) Conduct brief crisis counseling and individualized risk management/safety planning Collaborate with guardians, relatives, and significant others of people served when clinically indicated Document assessments and treatments in the electronic health record Administers medications Coordinates medical care Providing psychoeducation Assisting with discharge planning and care coordination. Qualifications: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of Massachusetts CPR certification Knowledge of behavior health and substance use disorders treatment modalities Ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries Previous experience in psychiatric or substance use disorders inpatient care, restraint reduction, de-escalation, crisis intervention, healthcare administration/management is preferred.
