JOB OVERVIEW This role is responsible for for all power of electrically driven equipment; maintain all sub stations & main circuit breakers to all circuit breakers panels; have working knowledge of building wiring; install new electrical equipment; and assist electronic technicians in trouble shooting & preventive maintenance. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.) Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units Utilize blueprints, diagrams and manuals to complete assigned project Stay up to date on current state code and compliance Works towards improvements for process efficiencies Work in a safe manner following all PPE and standardized processes Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Must be able to read, write and understand English Ability to read and draw ladder logic schematics Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals and diagrams Understanding of Massachusetts State Electrical Code EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE MA state electrical license 3- 5 years of building wiring and machine control High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training in field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable) The employee will be exposed to potential electrical shock The employee may be frequently expose to fumes or airborne particles The employee may be exposed to confined spaces while working on machines The employee is regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time. The employee may be required to stand, sit, crouch, walk and bend/conform in uncomfortable positions for varying periods of time Will be required to use vision including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
