Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Registered Pharmacists (RPH) to support a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) facility located at 10 Industrial Avenue, Chelmsford, MA 01824. Pharmacists support the CMOP mission by preparing prescriptions and packages in an accurate, timely, and cost-effective manner, without disruption in services or production. Full-time positions with competitive packages are available.

Responsibilities

  • Provides pharmaceutical verification of prescription orders of legend, OTC, Medical Surgical (Med/Surg), and Controlled Substances to patients requiring care.

  • Assesses drug orders and cross matches with medication presented at checking stations.

  • Pre-verifies medications loaded into highly specialized mechanical apparatus to dispense medications into prescription bottles.

  • Completes verification and fill of controlled substance orders, including Schedules III, IV, and V.

  • Performs Quality Assurance functions and supervision of Pharmacy Technicians.

  • Follows CMOP policies regarding documentation and reports to meet VA and TJC policy.

  • Notes any unusual doses, wrong drug, wrong strength, or drug mix up, and reports the information in accordance with local CMOP policies.

  • Provides full checking, labeling, and quality assurance within the guidance (written VHA handbooks, written CMOP policies, and training that will be provided by the CMOP) of the Department of Veterans Affairs regarding pharmaceutical medications.

  • Compounds and dispenses medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines for controlled substances.

Qualifications

  • Licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.

  • Must be a graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university. Pharmacists who are licensed but have been subjected to disciplinary action of any type by their licensing authority within the preceding five years, must be referred to CMOP management before proceeding with the hiring action.

  • Must be licensed for controlled substances, with qualifications to practice in any states.

  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills with co-workers and staff.

  • Maintains basic typing skills, PC computer skills, and working knowledge of MS Office.

  • Must read, understand, speak, and write English fluently under the authority of U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).

  • Able to pass VetPro certification, which is a credentialing system that is required of all VHA licensed, registered, and certified health care providers.

  • Able to sit/stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours), and lift totes weighing up to 30 pounds repetitively.

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift

  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist

  • Lift up to 20 lbs

  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance

  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
