APDerm Management, LLC Clinical Assistant -Chelmsford/Westford in Chelmsford, Massachusetts

We are looking for a Clinical Assistant that can provide day-to-day assistance to our clinic to ensure a positive, welcoming experience for the patient and cleanliness of the practice. Under the general supervision of the MD, NP, and reporting directly to the Practice Manager or Clinical Site Coordinator, the Clinical Assistant shall provide direct and indirect care to a specified group of patients in our dermatology healthcare setting. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates a positive experience by welcoming and assisting patients. Calling up from car and completing screening questions, meeting them at door, face protection, take temp, escort patient to appropriate room

  • Maintains the cleanliness and serviceability of unit facilities and equipment between patient visits. Responsible for sterilizing medical equipment and sanitizing exam rooms between patients.

  • Sets up and stocks all exam and procedure rooms.

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.

  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques.

  • Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.

  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.

  • Ability to interact and communicate with people over the telephone, often in stressful situations.

  • Knowledge of clinical facilities and equipment.

  • Receptionist skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  • Light physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.

  • Work environment involves some exposure to chemicals used to clean exam rooms and equipment, which require following basic safety precautions.

Minimum Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed courses for a Medical Assistant program preferred.
