Live Nation Entertainment Usher - Leader Bank Pavilion in Cambridge, Massachusetts
As an Usher, you help to ensure a safe and orderly concert experience. Ushers offer the best service possible to guests, visiting artists, and any other member of the public they may encounter. Ushers are expected to carry out any job function management deems as appropriate and within the scope of the usher role: primarily learning the layout of the venue and assisting guests in locating their seats, as well as providing excellent customer service and answering guest questions and concerns. We are hiring now for our May 2025 - October 2025 concert and event season. Usher shifts are typically in the evening, although some events will take place during the day. Evening availability is required. The Usher department at Leader Bank Pavilion is directly affiliated with the usher union, IATSE Local B-4. If hired, ushers should be willing to join the union if they are not already. WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO Represent Live Nation and Leader Bank Pavilion to all venue visitors, including our business partners and artists, in a professional way. Adapt to the needs of our diverse artists, changing schedules, and tours of varying sizes. Facilitate a top-notch guest experience Greet all guests in a welcoming manner. Answer guest questions accurately and thoroughly Assist guests with locating their seats and examine tickets for entry to various seating areas around the venue during the event. Assist with keeping the venue safe, clean and presentable to internal and external guests. Direct guests around the venue Inspect tickets or passes to verify authenticity and direct guests to their section/row/seat Assisting guests with accessibility needs, such as helping with seat accommodations or wheelchair escorts. Assist in verifying staff credentials to generally restricted areas. Assist patrons by giving directions to places inside or outside the venue. Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in the event of an emergency. Ensure that all guests make their way safely out of the venue at the end of each event. Learn and perform a multitude of different positions within the Usher department ranging from Front Row to Splitting to VIP Boxes. You will be trained on these various roles. Maintain working knowledge of all venue policies and guest services protocols Familiarize yourself with the Day of Show sheet and all key details of the event to include set times, names of artists, and other key details. Responsible for maintaining a fun, friendly, and safe environment throughout the venue Address behavior that is noncompliant with guest conduct expectations Resolve guest complaints or challenges in an efficient manner, with appropriate service recovery. Escalate concerns to appropriate members of the management team in a timely manner Ensure that the assigned work area is presentable and ready for the public. This could include but is not limited to setting up seats in the VIP boxes and alerting facilities to any broken seats. Maintain appearance under Live Nation uniform policy Complete online availability forms and e-Learnings Attend Live Nation Orientation and other trainings Ability to work with a diverse group of co-workers and develop strong working relationships across all departments. WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING High school diploma or equivalent experience required. At least 1+ year in a guest service role preferred. Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance; ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to learn quickly on the job and to retain event specific direction. Capable of standing for the full duration of a shift which could be several hours long. Strong team player with ability to collaborate and establish strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
