This is a 12-month term renewable position contingent on funding and work performance.

Department:HMS NeurobiologyPre-Employment Screening:Criminal, IdentitySchedule:35 hrs. per week | Monday - FridayJob Function:Research Duties & Responsibilities:The Ginty laboratory in the Department of Neurobiology at Harvard Medical School is looking for an independent and highly motivated Research Assistant to assist in the study of somatosensory circuit development. This project utilizes mouse genetics, molecular biology, histological and behavioral approaches to understand how the sense of touch is developed and regulated.
This individual will work under the supervision of a postdoctoral fellow to help 1) maintain a mouse colony (mouse husbandry, including genotyping), 2) dissect mouse tissue and perform immunohistochemical experiments, 3) perform an array of behavioral experiments, and 4) acquire images and assist in analyses.
