Job Description
PHYSICIAN CLINICAL LEADER, URGENT CARE, MIT Medical, to serve as the primary clinical team leader for the urgent care service, ensuring clinical practice, judgment, and medical integrity are upheld, implemented, and enforced among the clinical professional staff. Will be a member of the Urgent Care team and regularly conduct patient encounters for same-day sick visits; provide non-emergency level medical care to patients seeking treatment via walk-in appointments; assess patient health status through interview and physical exam and synthesize this clinical information to formulate health status, a diagnosis, and the development and implementation of a plan of care and treatment; evaluate follow up strategies as needed according to age-specific plans of care and refer to the patient’s primary care provider; and ensure MIT medical policies state and federal rules, regulations, and standard of care. Will also provide health education, supportive counseling, and clinical outreach to the MIT community in collaboration with other individuals or services at MIT Medical and across the MIT community. Job Requirements
REQUIRED: MD or DO from an accredited medical school; completion of family medicine or emergency medicine residency program with an accredited U.S. institution; board certification or board eligibility in family or emergency medicine; current provider card in basic life support (BLS), preferably advanced cardiac life support (ACLS); valid MA license, MA CSR and federal DEA; clinical experience and demonstrated competence in urgent care or emergency medicine; ability to lead, remind others of practice/clinic policies when needed, and conduct crucial conversations.
