Philips Obstetric Ultrasonography Innovation Lead in Cambridge, Massachusetts

We are working with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to develop a suite of AI-enabled Obstetric solutions that address the challenges of maternal care in low-and-middle-income countries.

You will make an impact on the future of healthcare by working at the intersection of clinical practice and new technology with our leading clinical partners in North America. Our research portfolio operates at the cutting edge of medical science, artificial intelligence, and digital technology, and focuses on delivering the next generation of care experiences, across the healthcare continuum, for the patients and providers we serve globally.

In this role, you will be a critical member of our Philips Research North America organization, serving as the core team medical lead, you will work as a member of a cross-functional team and represent the current clinical, medical and scientific thinking as it pertains to evidence generation approaches that will ensure Philips’ products demonstrate differentiated value. Additionally, you will ensure that our devices are compliant to global regulations, in order to prevent business disruption in any market. You will partner with key regulatory, commercial, R&D, professionals to drive consistently good clinical practices within Philips, contributing to seamless regulatory approvals.

You are responsible for

  • Working and communicating across a multi-disciplinary team aimed at bringing a new ultrasound product to market

  • Developing strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and investigators

  • Support clinical evidence discussions with regulators, advisory boards, association, and societies

  • Write clinical evaluation plans, reports, and clinical investigation documents in accordance with the clinical evaluation process and applicable regulatory standards (EU MDR, MEDDEV and ISO)

  • Lead a team of ultrasound and clinical experts to drive clinical study protocol development

  • Driving innovation in clinical obstetric ultrasonography for new users

  • Working collaboratively with team members from quality and regulatory to implement best practices in clinical study protocol development

  • Communicate strategy and compliance activities to internal stakeholders

  • Author technical reports and publications

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Credentialed to perform Obstetric Ultrasounds / Sonographer

  • 5+ years of clinical experience in obstetric ultrasound imaging and workflows

  • Genuine interest and desire to grow a career in a product innovation setting.

  • Excellent communication skills within a team environment and self-motivated to plan and execute.

  • Experience with image processing tools and algorithms is a plus
