Candidates MUST meet the following basic qualifications in order to be considered for this role:
College background or equivalent work experience, preferably in a related discipline.
Additional Qualifications and Skills:
Academic credits that meet CLIA requirements for high complexity testing.
A minimum of one years’ molecular lab experience is preferred.
Must have the ability to establish work priorities and handle several procedures simultaneously.
This position is located on-site in Cambridge. This is a fully benefits-eligible position. We are hiring for a number of openings for each position. Note positions have various shifts – daytime and evening shifts. Rotational weekend shifts may be required. The positions are for a 12-month term, with the possibility of renewal. As business needs change, the hours/days of work may change. There may also be an additional need to work overtime and/or weekends.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a COVID-19 testing laboratory and support Harvard University’s initiative to expand COVID clinical testing capabilities. The Medical Laboratory Technologist (MT) will perform complex molecular procedures and contribute to the evaluation and implementation of cutting-edge technologies. Full time and Part time positions available, sign on bonus, and benefits eligible.
Perform specimen handling, processing, testing, and result reporting according to the laboratory’s standard operating procedures.
Perform and document appropriate quality control, instrument preventative maintenance, and function checks.
Follow the laboratory’s procedures when the laboratory’s test systems are not within established acceptable levels of performance. Document corrective actions based on laboratory guidelines.
Follow the laboratory’s safety protocols in adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements.
Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA.
If needed, participate in government or regulatory agency inspections.
Perform other duties as directed by the manager.
