Sanofi Group Head of North America, Specialty Care Strategy and Operations in Cambridge, Massachusetts
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Specialty Care in North America and develop leadership skills for future executive positions within Sanofi.
As the Head of Strategy and Operations for North America Specialty Care, you will be a strategic partner to the Head of North America Specialty Care, driving transformative initiatives and operational excellence. This pivotal role requires a visionary leader who can seamlessly blend strategic thinking, executive presence, and operational acumen to elevate the performance of the entire North American organization.
This role reports into and is an extension of the SPC NA business leader and is a critical member of NALT. It’s a hybrid role and is located in Cambridge (CX).
Role Overview & Ambition:
The Head role will manage and supervise a team tasked with fulfilling annual operational business responsibilities, setting and executing strategy, while also orchestrating key projects and events aimed at amplifying the impact of the Head of North America Specialty Care and the North American Leadership Team (NALT).
In addition, this role will be responsible for managing and facilitating the US Country Council in partnership with the US Country Council Lead (currently, SPC NA business leader).
This role in conjunction with SPC NA business leader, head of SPC NA P&C, head of SPC NA Finance, and SPC NA group Executive assistant will be the core team (in partnership with NALT) to drive forward the SPC NA transformation and ways of operating to elevate the performance of the overall organization.
The Ambition of the Role:
Strategic Catalyst : Lead the implementation of the multi-year SPC NA strategy, translating vision into actionable plans with measurable outcomes. Innovation Driver : Spearhead digital transformation and commercial excellence initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation across the organization. Cultural Architect : Champion the SPC NA cultural transformation, making it a talent destination and enhancing employee experience. Operational Maestro : Orchestrate key projects and events that amplify the impact of the SPC NA Leader and the North American Leadership Team (NALT). Collaborative Bridge : Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, serving as a key liaison between SPC NA and global Sanofi initiatives.
Overall, this role will spend it’s time accordingly:
40% - Lead SPC NA Strategy and implementation of portfolio key initiatives & projects
20% - Lead and facilitate key Sanofi efforts /initiatives on behalf of SPC NA leader
10% - Manage and facilitate US Council and key requests / projects
20% - Act as Chief of Staff to SPC NA Leader and NALT
10% - Oversee SPC NA “chief of staff” operations community & lead/manage his/her respective team
Key Accountabilities:
Develop and execute the SPC NA strategic roadmap, including brand planning, national POA, and business/financial planning
Lead the digital transformation and change management efforts within SPC NA
Oversee talent development initiatives, including early talent programs and dynamic resource allocation
Manage the US Country Council in partnership with the US Country Council Lead
Drive a culture of performance and innovation, focusing on employee engagement and recognition programs
Provide strategic support to the SPC NA Leader and NALT, ensuring alignment with Sanofi's global "Play to Win" strategy
Lead the Chief of Staff community across SPC NA, fostering best practices and operational excellence
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. Focused degree in healthcare management, business administration, or related field is preferred
A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry, with a track record of leading strategic initiatives
Selected candidate will have proven ability to drive digital transformation and change management in complex organizations
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
Strong analytical and project management skills, with experience in performance metrics and data-driven decision making
Demonstrated success in fostering innovation and driving cultural change
Desire to move up in different leadership roles across Sanofi
This position may require up to 30% overall travel
