Additional Information:This is a hybrid position which we consider to be a combination of remote and onsite work at our Boston, MA based campus. HBS expects all staff to be onsite 3 days per week and departments provide onsite coverage Monday – Friday. Specific hours and days onsite will be determined by business needs and are subject to change with appropriate advanced notice.

As the Corporate Relations Director for Energy & Cleantech and Manufacturing & Transportation, you’ll play a key role in advising MBA students and alumni, fostering relationships with top employers, and developing career programming that drives success in these dynamic industries. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape career pathways, influence employer strategy, and collaborate with industry leaders and global initiatives. Career Coaching (35%)

  • Coach MBA students and alumni in realizing and achieving their unique career goals, including career visioning, self-assessment, job search strategies, interview preparation, and managing offers. Coaching is provided via individual sessions and Coach-on-Call coverage to support students in their goal to secure internship and full-time career opportunities, as well as pursue entrepreneurial ventures.

  • Serve as liaison to students in the MS/MBA:

  • Engineering Sciences joint degree program between HBS and Harvard’s Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS).

  • Develop programming to meet these students’ unique needs and create relationships with employers seeking to hire MS/MBAs.

Employer Relations (40%)

  • Industry coverage: manage existing relationships and develop new partnerships with employers in Energy & Cleantech and Manufacturing & Transportation sectors.

  • International coverage: manage existing relationships and develop new partnerships with employers located in or recruiting for Africa, Canada, Latin America, and the Middle East (coverage is across all industries in these regions).

  • Partner with Employer Relations Manager(s) on lead generation and targeted outreach.

Programming (20%)

  • Design and deliver relevant programming for respective sectors including Careers in Emerging Technologies, Careers in Energy & Cleantech, and Alumni in Climate Venture Capital Panel.

  • Partner with the Career, Education and Coaching team on development and delivery of additional student and alumni programming.

  • Manage relationships with student clubs for respective sectors and global regions, including the Aerospace & Defense Club, Africa Business Club, Energy & Environment Club, Future of Mobility, General Management & Operations Club, Israel Business Club, LatAm Club, Middle East & North Africa Club, and Sustainability Club.

  • Collaborate with relevant teams across the School and University including the HBS Business & Environment Initiative, HBS Global Initiative (including HBS Research Centers in Africa, LatAm, and MENA), Harvard Innovation Labs, and Harvard’s Salata Institute for Climate & Sustainability.
