Cadbury Commons is a family owned Traditional Assisted Living, which also has two distinct Memory Care Neighborhoods that function as a single Memory Care neighborhood called Morningside for programming purposes. Having two distinct areas allow Morningside Residents a smaller, more quiet living environment, but a larger social network during activities, having the best of both worlds. We are located in North Cambridge in a quiet residential neighborhood, approx. 1 mile from both Alewife T and Porter Square public transportation and easy access to parking. Resident Assistants (CNA's/HHA's) provide personal care assistance with ADL's and are supervised by the Wellness Department, and assignments and duties may vary over time. You may be oriented to and required to work in more than one department and provide coverage in an emergency. Resident Assistant (CNA/HHA) Job Overview: Cadbury Commons seeks to hire Resident Assistants with the following qualities: Maturity, flexibility and Compassion. Able to work effectively with Residents in a sometimes busy environment, and have insight and ability to prioritize needs and tasks. Compassion, Common Sense, and Patience to accommodate Residents who require extra time a must. The ideal candidate will have: A good understanding of human behavior and the Aging Process. Dependability, willing and able to perform varied duties as needed. Must love working with the senior population. Ability to sit, stand and walk intermittently during the day, evening and overnight shifts. Night shifts are awake positions. Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with Residents, Families, fellow staff and timely communication of pertinent changes or Resident needs to Supervisor.
