About the Job

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced ICU nurse to join our SICU team. As a Registered Nurse in the SICU, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver clinical excellence in patient-centered care, while being empowered through evidence-based practice, continuing education, collaboration, and shared governance to deliver nursing care at the highest level with empathy and kindness in the forefront.

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center is a Level 1 Trauma Center. In addition to our Trauma population, post-operative care is provided but not limited to; General Surgery, Transplant, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery. Utilizing the latest technologies, nursing staff deliver care to patients requiring ventilatory support, hemodynamic monitoring, and ICP monitoring, targeted temperature management, and osmotic therapy, continuous renal replacement therapy, in addition to providing support and comfort to the families of these patients.

Preferred qualifications:

BSN required.

Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License.

ACLS certification.

2 or more years’ experience at an acute care hospital.

Experience with transplants, trauma, neurosurgery and general surgery is desired.

American Association of Critical Care Nurses Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).

New graduate nurses and applicants without critical care experience will not be considered.



These are12 hour shifts.

This is day shift position. Your work schedule will be 12 hour shifts. 7 am - 7:30 pm.

You will be asked to cover shifts every 3rd weekend and 6 rotating holidays.

You may be asked to change to a day/night rotation to support the needs of patients in critical care units if necessary.
