Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Manager accepts, processes, identifies and labels specimens according to protocol. The Specimen Processor is familiar with the patient and specimen requirements and stores and transports specimens according to protocol and ensures specimen integrity is preserved at all times. Special assignments may include training of new employees. Coverage includes rotating weekends and holidays. Phlebotomy is required.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 1 year related laboratory experience preferred.
