About the Job
Position Summary: Responsibilities include data collection for educational research under the supervision of the primaryinvestigator for the project. Data collection may take place in either a simulated clinical setting or a live clinical settingsuch as the OR. Also this position may involve data entry into a database such as SPSS or redcap. Assist with surgical,medical or nursing simulations under direction of the surgical technician and/or faculty member.Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:1. Receives training and participates in inter rater reliability measures to gain proficiency in observational datacollection2. Physically be present in certain clinical situations for data collection with live patients and/or staff3. Manage data bases such as excel and SPSS to collect and store data4. Report out on progress of projects that are being worked on5. Assist simulation technicians or faculty with setting up equipment or entering attendance for simulation sessions6. Maintain strict adherence to the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center Confidentiality policy.7. Incorporate Lahey Hospital and Medical Center Standards of Behavior

Education: high school diploma, BS or BA preferred
Licensure, Certification, Registration: none
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, good communication and teamwork skills, able to physically tolerate being present in clinical situations such as the operating room, able to learn new skills and apply them in novel situations
Experience: Must be at least 18 years old in order to enter the operating room.
