Provides a variety of care for assigned patients directed by the licensed medical provider according to established regulatory guidelines, practice standards, philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures. Supports office by providing clerical and administrative assistance. High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant certification through one of the following organizations required: National Association of Health Professionals- Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) - Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), National Health Career Association (NHA) - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), American Medical Technologist (AMT) - Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) - National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA). Current American Heart Association BLS (basic life support) for healthcare workers (with AED) required. Previous experience preferred. One (1) year medical assistant experience is preferred. Bilingual preferred. Wound Care preferred.
