Lawrence General Hospital Outpatient Rehab Aide in Brighton, Massachusetts
The O utpatient Therapy Aide performs moderately skilled work aiding physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists with departmental operating procedures and patient treatment. Regulations for aides vary from state to state for all disciplines. All line items can be performed only if it is within their scope of practice as per their state regulations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assists Therapists Prior to and/or During Treatment (50%) Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Prepares patients for therapy treatment by welcoming them. Is attentive to patients by listening to questions and seeking appropriate guidance for responses when needed. Demonstrates proper use of equipment and exercise routines as per state guidelines. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information, including patient health information, confidential.
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE: Required: High school diploma, Basic computer skills, ability to learn and use computer systems and programs. Ability to understand, follow and communicate/relate oral and written instructions Excellent customer service skills Attention to detail
Preferred: Associates Degree Vietnamese speaking and interpreter certificate within 9 months of hire.
