Provide and coordinate medical services for students within the context of the multi-disciplinary team. MA RN nursing license and relevant experience. Psychiatric or special needs experience preferred. Requirements include valid driver's license and the ability to handle children in crisis safely, with compassion. Multiple schedule options available. Hours Schedule 20 Tues 4p-9p, Thurs, Fri 10a-3p, Sat 4p-9p ***Weekend differential $3.00 per hour for hours worked between 7am Saturday through 6:59am Monday! *** Key Responsibilities: Monitor daily health needs of students. Coordinate all appointments for preventive, specialized and emergency health care. Coordinate and monitor medication use: ordering, administration and documentation per DPH regulations and Agency policies and procedures. Monitor medical treatment to ensure follow-through via program staff. Liaison to families, referring agencies and community resources as it relates to the medical needs of students. Coordinate and facilitate weekly psychiatric consults/medication reviews in the absence of the Director of Nursing. Maintain student medical records and prepare required program reports. Conduct Medication distribution training to non-medical staff as per DPH guidelines, on an as-needed basis, but no less than on a yearly basis. Provide in-service trainings and medical orientation in health education and human sexuality. Participate in intake/discharge planning. Maintain an adequate inventory of medical supplies. Participate in program development, implementation and evaluation. Other duties as requested by Program Director or Director of Nursing. Any work assigned shall be related to the Employee?s normal duties, except for occasional emergencies. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills and professional appearance and demeanor are all required for this position.
