HelixBind is a rapidly growing in-vitro diagnostic company based just outside of Boston, MA. We are dedicated to developing cutting-edge diagnostic assays for the characterization of invasive infections, including those that lead to sepsis. Our proprietary platform seamlessly integrates a suite of innovative technologies enabling the identification of bloodstream infections directly from whole blood without the need for time-consuming blood cultures. This platform will empower healthcare providers to select the most appropriate, targeted antimicrobial therapies within hours of patient presentation, significantly improving patient outcomes. Our first product, RaPID/BSI, has been designated by the FDA as a Breakthrough Device, underscoring its potential to revolutionize infectious disease diagnostics. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technologist to join our team. This is a great time to join our team. The position offers the exciting opportunity to grow along with the Company as we take our initial product through FDA clearance and market launch while, in parallel, build out our pipeline of impactful syndromic diagnostic assays. Educational Requirements, Skills, and Experience Associate or Bachelors degree in a science or engineering discipline with 2-5 years experience in a laboratory / R&D environment. Experience pipetting and operating standard laboratory equipment Experience in microbiology and molecular diagnostics (e.g., PCR) is a plus Comfortable conducting experimental protocols and recording results Learning, problem solving, independent thinking, and collaboration skills are all important Responsibilities Work closely with R&D team to complete experiments and review result Receive, label, and analyze biological samples (blood, bacteria, fungi, etc.) Perform experiments to protocol and prepare and communicate results Prepare reagents based on documented procedures Job Type: Full-time Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
