Large law firm is currently hiring a full time transcriptionist or word processor. The position is Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30p.m. Benefits are provided after a 90 day probationary period.
The ideal applicant will have previously worked as a transcriptionist, word processor, legal secretary or legal assistant with dictation experience. You must be a strong typist and pass a typing test to be considered for this position. Individuals will need a typing speed of no less than 65 wpm to be considered.
The transcriptionist is responsible for working for several attorneys and several different departments. You will be responsible for transcribing from audio records and performing dictation. This position requires sitting for long periods of time while typing. Applicants should possess excellent spelling and grammar and be comfortable using proper punctuation. You will also be asked to edit legal letters, email, legal documents, etc. Interested applicants must have strong proofreading & editing skills.
Requirements:
Type no less than 65 wpm
