The Testing Center Medical Director is a Nurse Practitioner, Physician's Assistant or MD authorized by the appropriate Board of Registration or Licensing in the state of MA to practice in their given field. This position is a temporary, salaried, benefit eligible position. The Director will oversee operations of the CoViD Testing Center located on the campus of Emmanuel College and will be responsible for all testing of students, staff, administrators and faculty who will work in any facility operated by the College. The Director makes judgements relative to performing diagnostic testing independently, using physician consultation where appropriate.

The Testing Center Medical Director has two primary functions falling under the overall operations of Emmanuel College Health Services: 1) Responsibility for the administration and management of activities at Emmanuel College's CoViD Testing Center and 2) performing diagnostic CoViD testing and overseeing any additional staff performing the testing function.

*Manage and set up meticulously executed testing event(s) *Train and supervise staff for collection of samples *Follow and enforce standard infection control best practices *Manage specimen and results reporting with lab *Call and provide medical direction on all positive cases *Manage response for all positive cases, provide follow-up care and ongoing support *Remove and appropriately dispose of any waste collected during the testing and disinfect all tables and chairs before leaving the premises

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

*Licensed to practice as an advanced practice nurse, Physician's Assistant or MD in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by the appropriate Board of Registration or Licensing. *M.S.N., PA, PA-C or MD with ability to assume responsibility for delivery of care in the clinical setting. *Valid DEA and MCS licenses for prescription writing practices. *Current certification in Basic Life Support for healthcare providers. *Current individual malpractice liability insurance. *Minimum of five years of experience in college health or primary care. *Minimum of three years of supervisory experience. *College health experience preferred.
