This Staff Nurse will be responsible for:
Supporting patient care in our Outpatient Orthopaedic Clinic in Boston and satellite locations.
Partnering with interdisciplinary team in supporting 3 orthopaedic oncology practices.
Pre-clinic and conference preparation, attendance at clinic session, nursing assessment, patient and family education, anticipatory guidance, care coordination and follow-up care.
Answering phone calls related to patient issues/triage.
New patient intakes to assess care acuity prior to clinic visit.
Serving as a liaison between the interdisciplinary physician team, nurse practitioners, physical therapists and administrative staff.
Working collaboratively to provide family-centered care as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Referring patients to community resources, develop relationships with ancillary services to assist in problem solving/facilitate patient access and patient care.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
1-3 years nursing experience required in either oncology or orthopaedics, 3-5 years’ experience preferred.
Previous experience with pediatric complex-care patients preferred.
Excellent analytic, communication and organizational skills to resolve highly complex problems.
Ability to travel to satellite locations.
The ability to work 32 hours a week.
