The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
Pre-procedural patient assessment and oversight of patient care during IR procedures.
Working closely with anesthesia.
Working 8 hour shifts, days/evenings, 24 hours per week. On call rotation nights/weekends
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
A minimum of 2-3 years of Critical Care, Radiology, ED or equivalent experience.
Pediatric experience and PALS certification preferred.
Strong attention to detail and superb collaborative skills.
Demonstrated excellence in both verbal and written communication.
Please note: During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.
Exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced dynamic Interventional Radiology (IR) Program. IR is a rapidly expanding area of medicine where minimally invasive procedures are performed using image guidance. The complexity varies from relatively simple procedures such as PICC lines, biopsies, drainages, and chest tubes to the more complex such as angiography, tumor embolization and neuroradiologic procedures. As part of the Vascular Anomalies Center, IR is instrumental in treating patients with vascular anomalies from around the world. The IR nurse’s role on the multidisciplinary team is to help orchestrate safe patient care for children undergoing IR procedures.
