Managing patients in Interventional Radiology throughout the continuum of care.
Patient assessment, procedural care, and recovery from anesthesia.
Interventional radiology is a procedural unit that operates Monday-Friday for scheduled cases and covers emergencies on off hours for both ambulatory and inpatients. IR performs a wide range of sterile and non-sterile procedures using minimally invasive techniques; Some examples include Angiography, Sclerotherapy, Embolization, Needle Biopsy, Vascular Access, Cryoablation, Radiofrequency Ablation, thrombectomy, and Gastrojejunostomy exchanges.
Working 10-hour day and evening shifts, 30 hours per week between the hours of 6am-7pm Monday - Friday and call rotations.
On Call rotations for nights/weekends/holidays are typically 2-3 weeknights/month, 6-7 weekends a year, and 1 holiday/year.
Must be able to report to the hospital within 45 minutes when on call.
To qualify, you must have:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
A minimum of 2 years of Critical Care, Radiology, Procedural, ED, or equivalent experience.
Pediatric experience and PALS certification preferred.
Strong attention to detail and superb collaborative skills.
Demonstrated excellence in both verbal and written communication.
