Sr. Principal Infrastructure Program Manager
Location: Near Seattle is preferred, but remote from within the US will also be considered

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team delivers mission-critical applications for top tier enterprises around the world. Who are we looking for?
As an Infrastructure Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of various infrastructure planning, delivery and optimization initiatives that ensure Oracle Cloud Infrastructure can meet current and future demand. You will work closely with engineering, supply chain operations, and delivery teams to understand infrastructure requirements, optimize resource utilization, and mitigate constraints and risks. This role will report to the Vice President and CTO of Infrastructure, and work side-by-side with senior individuals and managers. Will work as a lead contributor individually, and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others as needed/requested.
Job Responsibilities:
Forecasting and Inventory Strategy: Develop and maintain capacity models to forecast hardware demand. Collaborate with partner teams to understand industry demand trends and identify risks to continuously improve OCI’s supply chain and demand planning strategies.
Hardware Roadmap: Partner with engineering to incorporate product lifecycle into hardware forecast, including New Product Introductions (NPI) and End of Life (EOL) planning.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to avoid impacts to our revenue and ensure business continuity. Analyze resource utilization metrics (shortfalls, E&O) and engineering life cycle metrics; working with partner teams to identify opportunities for optimization and implement best practices to improve efficiency. Ability to break down the risk into granular details, think creatively on solutioning the problem and make a recommendation to leadership on a path forward for mitigation.
Process Improvement and Tooling: Continuously evaluate and improve planning processes and strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Leverage KPIs and metrics to make data driven decisions and measure improvement. Automate processes where possible to scale impact.
Cross-Organization collaborations : Oversee daily operations through collaboration with senior management and department leaders, performing an array of business operations functions from managing work-back schedules, generating communications and presentations, and planning and coordinating meetings. Serve as the liaison between staff, senior leaders and executive leadership regarding project updates, proposals, and planning. Build and develop relationship with employees of all levels to increase efficiency, effective responsiveness to drive adoption of new processes, updates to existing operations, and alignment on process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as hands-on technical project / program manager; preferably in a related industry.
Experience with large-scale, globally diverse teams in a technical environment, with aptitude to work across and engage individuals and teams located across multiple geographies and or cultures.
Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and Development/Engineering staff at all levels, including the executive level.
Strong technical project reporting skills.
Experience with data analysis and budget forecasting is key.
Ability to independently represent the division up to the Vice President level.
Basic understanding of public cloud infrastructure services, such as Compute, Storage, Identity, Networking and Data Center Operations.
Desire to learn through self-teaching and understanding of how to ask probing questions.
Solid analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle competing demands.
Strong knowledge and understanding of business need with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.
Ability to effectively represent engineering perspectives to partner organizations, product teams, and executive leadership.
Experience in analyzing complex customer contracts to obtain a complete understanding of terms related to security, compliance, privacy, and cloud operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of experience as hands-on technical project / program manager; preferably in a related industry.
BS degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience (MS preferred).
Thorough understanding of public cloud infrastructure services, such as Compute, Storage, Identity, Networking, Data Center Operations, and Data Center Build Engineering.
Demonstrated knowledge of AWS, Azure or Google IaaS, SaaS and PaaS services.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $104,100 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
