Humana Senior Nursing Educator - Florida Medicaid - Remote USA in Boston, Massachusetts

Description

The Senior Nursing Educator plans, directs, coordinates, evaluates, develops, and/or delivers training and education programs for professional nursing personnel. The Senior Nursing Educator work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Responsibilities

The Senior Nursing Educator develops educational goals and plans for new associate orientation, ongoing training, and professional development. Training programs may include, but not be limited to, Care Management, Utilization Management, and/or Compliance. RN licensure is required at all levels. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree

  • Valid Unrestricted Registered Nurse License (RN) in home state and compact state license

  • 3 years of clinical experience

  • Knowledge of adult learning theory

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentation skills

  • Problem solver with a proven ability to lead in a fast paced, highly complex organization

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and influence all levels of the organization, including senior/executive level leadership

  • Effectively leads through change

  • Must have accessibility to high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite internet service is NOT allowed for this role); and recommended speed for optimal performance from Humana systems is 10M x 1M

  • A dedicated home office space, with a locked door, lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
