Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program Registered Nurse - Part-time, Weekends in Boston, Massachusetts

Who We Are:

We ’re at a challenging time in health care with the dueling epidemics of the overdose crisis and COVID-19.

Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program is proud to be part of the solution.

The unique model of care offered within our medical respite program allows for patients to come in off the street or take a reprieve from shelter living to address acute medical issues as well as receive additional behavioral health, addiction and case management supports.

Our patients have some of the most complex health conditions, exacerbated by larger systems issues and the experience of homelessness, and we marvel at their resilience.

From the start of our program in 1985, we have always sought to do work that is transformational: recognizing our shared humanity; centering dignity, compassion, mutual respect and supporting the right of every individual to access the highest levels of health care and every staff member to reach their fullest potential. We continue to be committed to building bridges and breaking down barriers, including systemic racism which harms us all. We provide community-based health care services that are compassionate, dignified, and culturally appropriate, incorporating social determinants of health, with the goal of breaking down the physical and systemic barriers that our patients face.
