  • Assisting in the coordination of psychiatry case management functions to include, but not limited to: verifying insurance coverage and benefits; facilitating intake appointments; compiling insurance-specific resources for families; facilitating the presentation, acceptance, authorization, and admission of patients to higher levels of psychiatric care; completing required documentation in the electronic medical record; and other duties, as assigned

  • Working with the patient’s assigned medical and psychiatric team maintaining communication and collaboration among payers, providers, hospital departments and external agencies in order to promote continuity and coordination of care

  • Providing patients with appropriate providers and resources to help move them through the continuum of care safely and effectively

  • Serving as a resource for families and Psychiatry clinicians in regards to insurance eligibility, coverage, benefits, copays, deductibles, and provider networks

To qualify, you must have:

  • Completion of two years of occupational specific education or an Associate's degree is required

  • Previous experience working in a social services or healthcare setting is required

  • Analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles

  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations

Schedule: This is a full time position. M-F days shifts including rotating weekends.

This is a remote position. Candidates must live in MA, NH, RI or CT to qualify for remote work status.
