This position supports the Center for Advanced Intestinal Rehabilitation (https://www.childrenshospital.org/cair) (CAIR) for all day to day administrative functions. This includes direct contact with patients and clinical staff to promote comprehensive care for a large, medically complex population. The program coordinator of CAIR will be part of a team that specializes in the management of the country’s largest group of pediatric intestinal failure patients. The position requires a motivated individual with strong computer and interpersonal skills. Additional skills and interests including updating websites, data management and project management would be encouraged and appreciated. This position is ideal for someone who has mastered an entry level administrative position and is looking to grow. Position interacts with staff across many disciplines - Nursing, Physicians, Social work, Dieticians and other administrative staff.
This Program Coordinator will be responsible for:
Supporting the Center for Advanced Intestinal Rehabilitation (CAIR) for all day to day administrative functions.
Triaging patient phone calls.
Coordinating ancillary services.
Ensuring that the weekly clinic is prepped.
To qualify, you must have:
An Associate's degree and 1 year of previous experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
Excellent communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, and well‑developed writing/editing/speaking skills.
Additional skills and interests including updating websites, data management and project management would be encouraged and appreciated.
