CVS Health Pharmacy Technician - Lead in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

The primary responsibility of a Lead Pharmacy Technician is to establish an expertise in all drug therapies serviced within the pharmacy to help provide guidance, mentoring and back up for the other technicians. The Lead will also assist the Pharmacy manager with assignment of work, training, and mentoring while maintaining patient service through accurately, and efficiently performing front store related to prescription entry and customer service in addition to maintaining relationships with related MD offices and the Sales team supporting the Therapy. In order to be successful in this role you must assist with the assignment of work to ensure workflow is consistent and meeting patient expectations and mentor staff by answering questions and providing guidance on challenging or escalated issues. You should also maintain and manage the relationships with referral sources including MDO’s, clinics, etc. providing excellent customer service and assistance, perform data entry of prescription orders including calculation of dosing, assignment of directions and accurate interpretation of prescription requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Active MA Technician License- 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous leadership experience - CPHT Certification


  • Verifiable High School diploma or GED.
