Providing basic direct care to patients in collaboration with the staff nurse (Registered Nurse) assigned to the patient.
Performing COVID-19 related duties which include collection of microviral swab specimens following established procedures and instructions, as well as other COVID-19 related duties according to the needs of the institution (including but not limited to fit-testing, COVID-19 testing patients/employees, COVID-19 Hotline, contact tracing & supporting OHS needs).
Assisting with Flu Vaccinations
Providing constant safety observation for a patient identified to be at risk to themselves, others and/or are in need of protective services in collaboration with the assigned staff nurse (Registered Nurse) in accordance with the individualized needs of the patient.
Observing patients for changes in behavior and /or condition in accordance with the Suicide Precautions Guidelines, and reports pertinent information to the patient assigned RN.
Assisting patients with feeding and hygiene; obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature, pulse and blood pressure and other delegated duties according to specific needs of unit and aligned with the per diem staff nurse competencies
Option to work in Boston and Waltham
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
Current Massachusetts RN License.
Ability to work a minimum of 16 hours/per week, 8 or 12 hour rotating shifts with every other weekend.
