About the role

As a CBRE People Business Partner, you will assist with the roll-out and communication of HR initiatives, policies, and procedures.

This job is part of the People Strategy and Operations function. They are responsible for the design, execution, and monitoring of human resource programs and policies.

This is a US remote opportunity preferring East Coast or Central Time Zones.

What you’ll do

  • Assist with the development of onboarding, career ladders, organizational planning, and performance management initiatives in the organization.

  • Provide employee relations mentorship, conflict resolution, and assist with issuing disciplinary action and performance improvement counseling.

  • Work with managers to identify employment-related risks and begin the discovery process of investigations and grievances.

  • Manage several HR functions such as employment, labor relations, compensation, etc. for a business unit or line of business.

  • Conduct training on a variety of topics including performance management, diversity, and more.

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.

  • Mentor others and share in-depth knowledge of own job field and broad knowledge of several job fields within the function.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.

  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.

  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.

  • Explain difficult or sensitive information.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5-8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Must hold Union experience in high volume setting.

  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.

  • Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training and experience. The compensation range is about $115,000 to $125,000 annual base salary plus 15% target bonus based on experience. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience.
