The Clinical Nutrition team at Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a passionate Registered Dietitian to work in the Adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Program. With life expectancy increasing for those with CF, this role is vital to ensure evidence based patient and family-centered nutrition care for the complex and evolving needs of this patient population. Working closely alongside highly trained physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists and many other consulting providers, the Adult CF dietitian (Clinical Nutrition Specialist II) will be responsible for:
Providing nutritional care to patients in the Adult Cystic Fibrosis outpatient setting.
Evaluating the medical, biochemical, and nutritional information and assessing patient needs in order to develop and implement the most appropriate nutrition care plans.
Serving as a proficient resource, mentor and educator for health care providers, students, community dietitians and the general public.
Supporting the Adult CF Program and Clinical Nutrition initiatives to improve professional practice including community-based initiatives.
Assisting in the supervision of the daily work of the dietetic technician.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in nutrition and three (3) plus years of progressive experience in Dietetics with at least two (2) years in pediatric nutrition
Registration by Commission on Dietetic Registration, the Credentialing agency of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as a Registered Dietitian
Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a licensed Dietitian.
Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in‑depth, experienced‑based knowledge.
Good communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions and well‑developed writing skills
Spanish language skills a plus
CF (Cystic Fibrosis) experience a plus
