Boston Children’s Hospital is currently hiring Call Center Representatives to staff our COVID-19 Vaccination & Testing Call Center. Apply today to join our efforts to control the pandemic in Massachusetts.

The Patient Experience Representative – COVID-19 Vaccine and Testing Call Center will be responsible for:

  • Scheduling patient appointments for COVID vaccinations for families following established department guidelines. Collecting and verifying all demographic information.

  • Scheduling employee and patient COVID-19 tests according to Occupational Health Services and Hospital guidelines.

  • Providing daily phone support and scheduling assistance.

  • Performing a variety of administrative duties, entering incoming requests into the database, and relaying appointment information to appropriate parties.

  • Providing positive and effective customer service that supports departmental and hospital operations.

  • Answering, screening and routing telephone calls. Recording and forwarding messages and triaging calls for information or services.

  • Providing clerical and administrative support as needed.

  • Actively contributing to departmental and organizational initiatives & Projects with a focus on continuous process improvement.

  • Assisting in implementing changes in internal systems and procedures (as needed).

To qualify, you must have:

  • High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • Previous customer service or administrative experience preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.

  • Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.

This position is a 12 month, full time position to support the COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Clinic. After completion of COVID-19 Vaccine & Testing responsibilities, successful candidates may be reassigned to other hospital units.

Schedule: The Call Center is open from 7:00a-8:00p, with varying shifts between these hours.

Please note: During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.
