This Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the clinical care of complex infants and children with BPD, neuromuscular diseases and chronic ventilator needs.

  • Participating in the outpatient BPD, neuromuscular and chronic ventilation clinics alongside pulmonary faculty.

  • Assisting in meeting patients and families in the neonatal intensive care units at Boston Children’s Hospital, as well as in the local Newborn Intensive Care units at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

  • Assisting in the education of families prior to discharge and in the outpatient setting; as well as developing teaching materials for both other providers and families.

  • Communicating with patients, families and health care providers.

To qualify, you must have:

  • MSN and Licensed Nurse Practitioner.

  • 1-3 years pediatric experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, understanding of hospital and community resources a plus. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

  • Availability to work Monday-Friday, days.
