  • Working with the multidisciplinary team to integrate inpatient and outpatient care, implement interventions and support administrative and nursing staff as a clinical resource.

  • Assessing and triaging new patients, assisting with obtaining histories and records, ordering appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to streamline and coordinate the intake process.

  • Assessing patients’ postoperative progress.

  • Coordinating care for patients across the continuum from intake to scheduling admissions for surgery and hospital, as well as testing and subsequent follow-ups as necessary.

  • Communicating plans to team and family.

  • Participating in leading patient clinical discussions during intake meetings, draft case summary for physician review, and prepare multidisciplinary recommendations for referring physicians and families. Potential to teach certain procedures to the family in conjunction with the nursing team.

  • Conducting telehealth visits.

  • Working 20 hours per week.

    To qualify, you must have:

  • A Master’s Degree in Nursing

  • A current MA license to practice as a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

  • At least 3 years RN or NP Pediatric surgical experience

  • Excellent communication skills, be organized and self-directed, highly motivated and able to lead as well as participate in a team environment.

  • Experience in leadership role is preferred.

    The Esophageal and Airway Treatment Center at Boston Children’s specializes in caring for infants, children and adolescents with routine to complex esophageal and airway conditions. Our team of pediatric experts from surgery, gastroenterology, pulmonary, ORL, nutrition, and feeding team work together to provide comprehensive and personalized treatment plans for patients and families. The Nurse Practitioner will have clinical, administrative and programmatic responsibilities. The management of some of these patients may involve multidisciplinary care.
