  • Joining a growing team committed to the care of patients diagnosed with refractory epilepsy and metabolic conditions, ages infancy to young adult.

  • Partnering with, Neurologists, Nurses, Administrative Staff, Dieticians and other pediatric subspecialists to provide care across the inpatient and outpatient settings.

  • Enhancing continuity of care, facilitating and coordinating a comprehensive plan of care, admission planning, engaging in frequent contact with patients and families to provide anticipatory guidance for their care needs across the continuum through phone calls, virtual visits, in person visits and/or collaborating with other interdisciplinary team members.

  • Evaluating and managing ambulatory patients in General Epilepsy and Ketogenic Diet clinics, including lab and diagnostic study review, treatment of acute and chronic concerns, and anticipatory guidance and teaching.

  • Facilitating admission planning for new Epilepsy patients and Ketogenic Diet initiations, collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team, including Nurse Practitioners, Epilepsy Attending physicians, Fellows and Residents, Social Workers, and Dieticians.

  • Facilitating partnerships with other clinical service providers vital to the care of complex patients.

  • Attend weekly multidisciplinary Ketogenic Diet clinic meetings

  • Working 40 hours per week- Monday through Friday

    To qualify, you must have:

  • A Master’s degree in Nursing required

  • A current MA NP license (FNP or PNP) required

  • 5+ years of pediatric RN experience required

  • 2-3 years of Neuroscience nursing experience preferred

  • 2-3 years of Advanced Practice experience assisting in the care coordination of patients with complex medical conditions, strongly preferred

  • Professional certification preferred or willingness to pursue (CNRN)

**Sign-on bonus of $5,000.00 for full-time (40 hours per week) NP hires (who have not worked at BCH in the past 2 years.)
