Column Health Nurse Manager - Outpatient Addiction Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts

Column Health is currently searching for a Nurse Manager for our growing outpatient addiction treatment program! The chosen candidate will be an integral part of Column Health's Opioid Treatment Program (OTP). This is a salaried, benefits eligible opportunity.

Under the direction of the Medical Director of Column Health's Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), the OTP Regional Director, and the OTP Program Director, the Nurse Manager will be the lead professional responsible for overseeing the provision of nursing care to those in treatment for opioid use disorder at three clinical locations in Massachusetts: Lawrence, Somerville, and Attleboro. The Nurse Manager must be board certified and possess an unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for training and supervising program nurses practicing within the OTP. The Nurse Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all medical and nursing policies and protocols are adhered to by nursing staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Nursing policy and protocol development, evaluation, and revision

  • Medical and nursing staff training

  • Attendance at weekly Multidisciplinary Team meetings, one per site per week

  • Attendance at weekly peer supervision meetings, one hour per week when possible

  • Overseeing nursing schedule in collaboration with onsite charge nurses

  • Medication dosing, including emergency coverage in the event of a staffing shortage

  • Medication inventory management

  • Medication ordering

  • Submit treatment exception requests via the OTP Extranet System

  • Community outreach

  • Supervision of nursing staff, RNs and LPNs

  • Care coordination with community partners

  • Facilitation of patient guest dosing trips

  • Facilitation of new patient admissions

  • Nursing education and departmental growth leadership: phlebotomy, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and more.

Qualifications:

  • Board certified registered nurse - ASN or BSN candidates will be considered

  • CARN-preferred

  • CPR certification

  • Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts without restriction
