State of Massachusetts Mobile Integrated Health - Office Support Specialist II in Boston, Massachusetts

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) and Bureau of Health Care Safety and Quality is seeking anOffice Support Specialist to provide administrative support to the MIH program and its staff. The MIH Office Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in program operations and assists staff with application reviews, compliance tracking, communications, correspondence, data management and other program needs.

MIH is a sophisticated and integrated health care delivery model intended to link existing health care providers with mobile health infrastructure to improve the health of a specified population within a community. These collaborations are intended to deliver services to a range of patients in out-of-hospital environments, by providing patient-centered, multidisciplinary team-based care in coordination with health care facilities and other health care providers.


Duties and Responsibilities:_*

  • Coordinates administrative program needs.

  • Oversees scheduling and coordination of meetings and events for the program and preparation of related materials.

  • Performs research, special projects, office organization, documentation, scanning, copying, and filing.

  • Updates and maintains database(s) to effectively store and manage review of applications, approvals, compliance findings, and associated information.

  • Responds to internal and external inquiries.

  • Responds to public records requests.

Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in administrative work experience or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below:


I. An Associate’s or higher degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required experience.

II. An Associate’s or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

Education toward such a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed.

Educational substitutions will only be permitted for a maximum of two years of the required experience.
