The Medical PNP will be responsible for:
Providing medical care to patients on the 12-bed Inpatient Psychiatry Unit at Boston Children’s Hospital Waltham
Working collaboratively with the Hospitalist to provide patient assessment, evaluation and facilitation of medical treatment
Working with patients’ primary care providers and specialists to coordinate care.
Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement interventions that enhance patient care systems and patient safety for the psychiatric population
Providing education, consultation, leadership, and development of progressive nursing practice and research with the professional nursing staff
Serving as a resource and educator to patients, families and staff around management of medical conditions and their relation to psychiatric disorders
To qualify, you must have...
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience
PNP experience and psychiatric experience preferred
Current PNP certification
*Sign-on bonus of $10,000 for full-time new hires with over 1 year of Behavioral Health experience (who have not worked at BCH in the past 2 years), prorated based on number of hours hired for. Must start on or before 9/13/21.
This position is eligible for an Employee Referral Bonus ($5,000), prorated based on number of hours referral is hired for.
