Providing medical care to patients Inpatient Psychiatry Unit at Boston Children’s Hospital Waltham and Boston
Working collaboratively with the Hospitalist to provide patient assessment, evaluation and facilitation of medical treatment
Working with patients’ primary care providers and specialists to coordinate care.
Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement interventions that enhance patient care systems and patient safety for the psychiatric population
Providing education, consultation, leadership, and development of progressive nursing practice and research with the professional nursing staff
Serving as a resource and educator to patients, families and staff around management of medical conditions and their relation to psychiatric disorders
24 hours; 8 hour shifts rotating days and every third weekend
Float between Waltham and Boston locations
To qualify, you must have...
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner experience and psychiatric experience preferred
Current Pediatric or Family NP certification
*Sign-on bonus of $3,000.00 for full time NP hires (who have not worked at BCH in the past 2 years.)
