Boston University MEDICAL EDUCATION COORDINATOR, School of Medicine, Pediatrics in BOSTON, Massachusetts

The Pediatric Medical Education Coordinator is responsible for coordination, execution, oversight and evaluation of the administration of the third-year student core clerkship in Pediatrics as well as the fourth-year Pediatric electives and related educational programming. The Coordinator has responsibility for the overall organization of student clinical training at local hospitals and primary care offices, including financial management, oversight of clinical site assignment, administrative support to medical faculty, educational scheduling, and policy compliance. In addition, the coordinator will be involved with communications, support, and liaising with IT services, Medical Education and Student Affairs offices (MEO & SAO) and with other members of the team of Medical Education Coordinators.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of related experience; Master's preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong interpersonal and professional skills; interacts regularly with faculty, staff, and students both on site and at affiliate sites.

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize assignments.
