job description

Initiate appropriate billings to various payers, commercial insurance, managed care contractors and patients as per insurance coverage and limitations. Posting third party payments, patient payments, denials, transfer balances to either secondary insurance or self-pay, and/or precisely post insurance confirmed contractual rates to the system. In addition to, auto posting of 835 EDI files.

Responsibilities:

Filing various EOBs, authorization letter and checks filed to appropriate locations. Use various programs to communicate, track, present and share information with internal dept as well as external depts., via face to face, email and\or phone interactions. Work closely with supervisors, manager as well as staff members of the dept on various problem solving and coordination of activities. Requires basic Excel skills and knowledge of hospital billing.

Working hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
