2020 On-site MA Fill-in Optometrist in Boston, Massachusetts

Join 20/20 Onsite as a fill-in doctor. Opportunities are available throughout Massachusetts. Join us in our mission to make eye care more accessible for working professionals and the community. Email us if you have a day off during the week or weekends, are semi-retired, or are just returning from maternity/paternity leave!

About Us:

20/20 Onsite, a leader in mobile vision care, and be part of our innovative approach to delivering eye care. Our Mobile Vision Clinics (MVCs) have served over 75,000 patients with state of the art equipment at their workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods since 2014. In May 2020, we expanded our services to provide vital access to clinical trial assessments and tests, bringing uniquely equipped Mobile Clinics directly to participants. Our focus is "radical patient centricity," prioritizing the patient experience, minimizing time and distance barriers.

Fast forward, we are stronger than ever and growing rapidly. Joining our team now is a chance to be part of the future of primary eye care and clinical research, helping drive innovative solutions that are dramatically changing an industry.

The Opportunity:

We are adding a part-time / fill in Optometrist to our team. But, these aren't your typical office environments. Working on our mobile vision clinics (MVCs) - fully transformed RVs, you will provide an exceptional experience for our patients - from the moment our patient comes on board, gaining their trust, reviewing their vision care history, and conducting a comprehensive eye exam to making recommendations, referrals, and answering questions. You will set a tone of comfort, care, and open communication, for the patients and the teams you work with on the MVC and back at HQ.

The Experience Onboard

The Doctor, clinic manager, and associate clinic manager work together to deliver on-site eye care. The patient's journey aboard the MVC is both pleasant and streamlined: the patient enters the clinic, they are checked in by staff and pre-tested for the Doctor (lensometry, NCT, Ks, automated refraction, fundus photos on every patient). The patient sees the Doctor and enjoys an automated refraction and health evaluation. Patients can purchase glasses and contacts right onboard at the end of their visit.

What You Bring:

  • Valid license to practice Optometry in Massachusetts.

  • Passion for bringing eye care to diverse demographics.

  • Motivation, business-mindedness, and detail-oriented.

  • Collaborative, problem-solving attitude.

  • Friendly, outgoing, and effective communicator.

  • Valid Massachusetts driver's license and clean driving record.

At 2020 On-site, we see differently. And if you do too, we should chat.

We're an open and inclusive team where each member brings a depth of experience and energy to what we do. We love to 'geek out' on problem solving, whether that's unlocking a new sales approach, discovering a new eyewear brand, or building charitable programs that help kids in need see better. We enthusiastically share our new skills (home-made sourdough, anyone?), host company get-togethers, and have friendly debates about our favorite sports teams, WFH fashion trends, and the best places to get takeout.

At 2020 On-site, everything we do is guided by our values: We see you. We say "yes, and...". We own it. We go the extra mile. (And we love puns!)

We strive to build a team that reflects the diversity of the communities where we live, work, and take our services to. We encourage applications from traditionally underrepresented groups such as women, visible minorities, Indigenous peoples, people identifying as LGBTQ2SI, veterans, and people with disabilities. If we can make this easier through accommodation in the recruitment process, please let us know.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status or status as an individual with a disability.
