The Department of General Internal Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM) is seeking Locum Providers experienced in Palliative Care. Boston Medical Center (BMC) is the primary teach medical center for BUSM.
BUSM Palliative Care Program is led by Sandhya Rao, MD, Director of Palliative Medicine. As part of the Palliative Care Team, the Providers will be involved for both inpatient and outpatient support services to:
Address complex pain and symptom management issues for patients experiencing chronic and/or a progressive life-limiting illness. This also includes facilitation of advance care planning.
Interest in educating medical students, residents, and nurses about palliative care principles across the institution.
Invested in working with the underserved population; passionate about Boston Medical Center’s mission reducing healthcare disparities.
Schedule: Locum Providers work sessions, as needed as available, in our ambulatory and inpatient settings. Shifts are scheduled for 8-10 hours in duration during Monday through Friday. No weekends, evenings or Holidays.

Hold active MA license in good standing. Board Certified in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in Hospice and Palliative Care strongly preferred.
